Field grade knives are simplified alternatives to our customs, work horses with less bells and whistles. Field grade knives and sheaths perform the same as custom knives. These are an excellent choice for the serious outdoorsman. The blade is the same as our custom knives, and the contoured handle is fastened on with hex screws & posts. The field grade sheaths are built the same as our custom sheaths, but without the rounded edges and black edge coat.
The Explorer is one of our versatile general-use bushcraft knives. The blade is long enough for batonning through wood logs and slicing meat/food, but is also short enough for controlled woodworking. The rugged drop-point blade paired with the ergonomic coke bottle contoured handle make this knife truly excellent for use in the wilderness. The Explorer is often preferred by bushcrafters who are hard on their knives and/or use them for hunting.
