Auction: Frontiersman Bowie Knife

(Sold)

This is only the second only Frontiersman I've made to date, the last one was about 10 years ago.  Lately I've had a desire to create practical, bushcraft-capable Bowie knives.

I'm going to auction this because I honestly struggle pricing larger knives.  I'd rather the customer decide what it is worth to them.

Description
The Frontiersman is a wilderness Bowie knife.  It's design elements lean towards use in the wilderness as a camping, hunting, and bushcraft tool, but is still very capable weapon, as all Bowies are.

The Frontiersman is made of CPM 3V steel at 62 HRC.  It has a 9 inch blade, is a tad over 1.5" wide, and is made from 3/16" thick stock.  It is a tad thinner than 3/16" after surface grinding.  With a full-height convex grind and a tapered tang, part of the goal of this knife in particular was to reduce the weight and create a very nimble blade for its size.  Sometimes people want the capability of a large blade but can't justify the weight; the overall weight of this is less than 13.5 ounces.  The taller grind lends itself very well to hunting, slicing, food prep, rope cutting and utility chores, yet remains a rather effective wood carver, brush clearer, and chopper.  The clip point is has a swedge (unsharpened false edge), reducing weight and increasing the blade's penetration and detail woodcarving capabilities.

The handle is Arizona desert ironwood with an ivory g10 bolster, ivory g10 liners with a thin dark forest green g10 secondary liner.  The hardware includes a copper mosaic tube and copper mosaic landscape logo pins, which is something I currently reserve for my personal knives, auctions, and exclusive one-off blades.
