The Explorer is a versatile general-use bushcraft knife. It is the first knife Cody designed and remains one of the most requested models. The blade is long enough for batonning through wood logs and slicing food, but is also short enough for controlled woodworking. The rugged drop-point blade shape has a little more blade "belly" than the Mountaineer, and is more suited for a convex grind than the finer-tipped Mountaineer. Paired with the ergonomic coke bottle contoured handle, this knife is a well-rounded knife which is excellent for use in the wilderness.
